Once you've completed the Blacksmith's Suggestion quest, you can take your favorite equipments to the blacksmith NPC for upgrades.
Upgrade
You must have an upgrading metal and gold to upgrade equipment. Cost for upgrading is automatically calculated based on the quality of item, grade and its upgrade level.

The type of upgrading mineral does not matter at any stage, but the success rates vary based on the quality of minerals and the equipments. The success rate gets better in the following order:
Silvin < Mithril < Iternium < Soul Metal
? Equipment that cannot be upgraded or strengthened: Rings and Necklaces.
When the Upgrade window appears, place the item to be upgraded and upgrading mineral in the 'mineral' slot.

Cost for upgrading is automatically calculated based on the item to be upgraded and its grade, stats and upgrade level. Once you click the 'Upgrade' button, a confirmation message will appear.

Once an item has been successfully upgraded, it can be upgraded again at the next stage. If the upgrade attempt failed, you must still have the upgrading cost, and there is a chance that your item can be downgraded one level or/and can lose a random value of the max endurance ranging from 1 to 10 both inclusive.

Stat transfer
Once you've completed the Blacksmith's Suggestion quest, you can take your favorite equipments to the blacksmith NPC for stat-transferring. Stat-transferring require a certain amount of gold. Stat-transferring between better equipment cost more gold.

You must have a sacrificial item and and gold to stat-transfer.
Cost for upgrading is automatically calculated based on the item to be upgraded and its grade and upgrade level. This doesn't reset the upgrade level of the target item.
• Equipment that cannot be stat-transferred: Rings and Necklaces.
Move the target item you wish to upgrade into the Stat Transfer window and click 'Next' to proceed.
Move the item you'll sacrifice into the next window.

Cost is automatically calculated based on both target item and sacrificial item. Once you have selected the stat to transfer, the smith will quote a transfer price.
• Those in red and white are inferior and equal respectively and cannot be transferred.
• Min Damage cannot be higher than Max Damage.
• Only those stats highlighted in green can be transferred.

Click 'Transfer' to see the result after the stat-transferring effect. If you change your mind, just back out from the menu and place the items back in your inventory. Your sacrificial item and the transfer cost will be gone whether successful or not.
